November Round Up
Hello! You may have noticed I have been missing in action for the last couple of weeks. The reason a nasty virus (worst I’ve had in about 5 years), but happily I’m pretty much back on my feet now. Being confined to base has meant I have not take that many photos this month and we have only made one proper expedition. It was, however, a good one.
At the beginning of the month we visited Stourhead, a breathtaking 18th century landscape garden with lakeside walks, grottoes and classical temples. It is one of the most famous gardens in the country, with peak visiting to see the rhododendrons in the spring and the wonderful displays of autumn colour.
The lake is the feature that constantly draws the eye both in terms of its framing by the trees and the wonderful reflections. but smaller scale details are there to be enjoyed too
As well as our trip to Stourhead we visited Bristol to see the Bristol Old Vic’s production of a macabre musical ‘The Grinning Man’. Walking from the station to the theatre I spotted this leaf on the pavement processed two ways – which do you prefer?
